Lindy Li raised millions for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as a member of the Democratic Party’s National Finance Committee, the party’s most exclusive donor tier. Then she walked away. Li joins Dr. Drew to explain what she saw inside the DNC donor machine and why she left the party, moving into GOP strategy and fundraising and, in January 2025, joining President Donald Trump’s inaugural fundraising committee.
In her book Unburdened, Li says the cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline was widely known, that Kamala Harris was vetting VP candidates within hours of the debate, and that the Harris campaign paid $45 million to celebrities through their own production companies. Lindy blames Biden and Harris for the rise of the Democratic Socialists of America, which claimed multiple victories in 2026.
