Dr. Rand Paul is a U.S. Senator of Kentucky. He graduated from Duke Medical School in 1988, completed a general surgery internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga., and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Paul is a father of three and has been married for 31 years to Kelley Ashby Paul of Russellville, Ky.
Dr. Mary Talley Bowden completed her residency at Stanford University and is board-certified in both Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine. She specializes in sinus, sleep, and allergy disorders and treats both children and adults. In 2021, after speaking publicly in favor of alternative treatments for COVID-19 and against vaccine mandates – tweeting “vaccine mandates are wrong” – Dr. Bowden was quickly punished with a suspension by Houston Methodist and now faces a Medical Board complaint hearing in April 2024.
