America faces a historic crisis as the midterm elections force voters to choose between free-market capitalism and state-subsidized socialism, warns legendary historian Victor Davis Hanson.
“Rarely in American history have the two parties been so far apart or the choice between them so stark,” he writes. Hanson says decades of trust in universities, media newsrooms, and federal bureaucracies have already evaporated, sparking a grassroots backlash ahead of the election – but it’s still unclear which side will be victorious.
