Atmospheric scientist Justin Mabie is suing for wrongful termination after being fired from a NOAA research center. He says he lost his job after blowing the whistle on efforts to destroy weather and climate change documents – as a new startup lobbies Congress for their project to spray sunlight-reflecting particles into the atmosphere.
Mabie was fired after more than a dozen years at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, a research center operated by NOAA and the University of Colorado Boulder. He joins Dr. Drew to explain what happened to the data he was trying to preserve and how the case connects to a broader push for geoengineering. weather modification, and the Stardust project.
Jay Beeber, Executive Director of Policy at the National Motorist Association, discusses automated ticketing, Flock license plate reader surveillance, driver-monitoring cameras now required in Europe, and the right-to-repair fight.
