    Dr. Lucy McBride is a practicing internist in Washington, D.C., who believes that mental and physical health are inseparable. During the pandemic, Dr. McBride has become a trusted source of information through a COVID-19 newsletter she launched in March 2020. More than 16,000 people now subscribe for real-time, fact-based information, advice and commentary, delivered with a dose of humor and real-world awareness to help them mitigate COVID risks, better understand evolving public health recommendations, and manage their physical and mental health in tandem.

    Dr. McBride is a frequent media guest and regular contributor to The Atlantic. Her goal is to help people make sense of the news, reduce the stigma around mental health, and provide guidance on improving health from the inside out. Dr. McBride graduated from Princeton University and attended Harvard Medical School. She did her medical training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. A native Washingtonian, she is married with three teenage kids.
