Greg Cruey is a middle school teacher in War, West Virginia, an area of the country that has been devastated by the opioids crisis. He teaches at Southside K-8 school in McDowell County, which lead the state in opioids-related hospitalizations in 2014. Greg, who considers himself a “first responder,” shares poignant experiences about connecting with children who are growing up in this drug-ravaged environment.
