Dr. Drew joins NBC4 to discuss the sexual assault allegations surrounding Louis C.K. and Harvey Weinstein, and how it relates to the recent claims against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore.
While the continued endorsement from Roy Moore’s supporters is shocking, Dr. Drew believes there’s still a chance for addicts to find redemption if they seek treatment:
“Of course [Louis C.K.’s] apology is going to be incomplete… but the difference between him and a Weinstein… I look at that apology of Louis CK and go “well that’s a guy I could work with. That’s a guy who’s workable. That’s a guy who can really take a look at these things and get a lot better.”
“I don’t want people to think that just because an addict… gets caught and then gets treatment that somehow the treatment is an excuse or a way out. That’s how people come to treatment!”
