After graduating from law school Bobby Chacon entered on duty with the FBI. Upon completing training at Quantico Bobby was assigned to the New York City Field Office. He then began a highly decorated 27 year career as an FBI Agent, where he worked everything from the Mafia and drug gangs in NYC to counter terrorism at two Olympic Games and two tours in Iraq. Shortly after retiring from the FBI he became the technical advisor on CRIMINAL MINDS BEYOND BORDERS where he worked closely with Gary Sinise, Alana De La Garza and the rest of the cast, directors and writers to bring authenticity to the show for its two seasons on CBS. From there Bobby was asked by showrunner Erica Messer, to join CRIMINAL MINDS in the writers’ room as a story advisor and writer’s consultant for seasons 14 and 15 culminating in Bobby co-writing episode 1421 of the long running CBS hit. That led to Bobby being recruited by Marc Cherry to help him write a pilot for ABC which was shot and starred Reba McEntire. After that Bobby landed his first WGA staff writing gig on season one of Warner Horizon’s CRIME FARM for showrunner Janine Sherman-Barrois and HBO Max. Bobby provided the CRIME FARM writers room with forensic expertise, investigative experience and creative avenues to explore. Based on his performance in the room he co-wrote episode 107 with Sherman-Barrois. Bobby has written a procedural pilot based on his experience on an FBI tactical medical team. Bobby is currently at work on a treatment for a half hour comedy and a feature film, both based on different real life experiences during his illustrious three decades with the FBI.
